Frequently Asked Questions
Can Ayurveda cure MND / ALS?
No. There is no known cure currently. But Ayurveda aims to slow progression, preserve function, and improve quality of life by nourishing and supporting what remains.
How long before benefits are felt?
Patients may notice better breathing, improved voice, or mild stabilisation in 3–4 weeks under careful therapies. Consistent care, proper follow up, proper medication and rehabilitation along with following dietary recommendation is the must for longer-term and permanent results of the Ayurvedic treatment for Motor Neuron Disease.
Is Panchakarma safe in such a fragile and complex condition?
Yes, if applied gently, with careful supervision, and individualized according to patient strength. Aggressive cleansing is avoided; only mild detox and rejuvenating therapies are used.
Can this treatment be done alongside conventional medicine / therapy?
Yes — these therapies are complementary and can coexist with conventional care (physiotherapy and medications) under medical supervision of MD Ayurveda Vaidyas at Sukhayu Ayurved, Jaipur. Generally only a single medicine is applicable to the patients of MND from allopathy side along with multi-vitamins. We strongly believe in planning the treatment for the betterment of the health- where we regard allopathy medicines and treatments without any problem.
Do patients need to be admitted (IPD)?
For Panchakarma therapies phases, yes, admission is recommended for 3–4 weeks to monitor safety and provide continuous care. Only a few follow-up therapies can be done outpatient.
